Senior Property Portfolio Manager

We are looking for a capable, confident and people-focused Property Portfolio Manager to join our award-winning Property Management team. This role is suited to someone who enjoys responsibility, values professionalism, and can manage a portfolio with care, structure and confidence.

Experience in property management is highly regarded, but not essential. What matters most is your ability to communicate clearly, stay organised under pressure, and build trust with landlords, tenants, contractors and colleagues alike.

About the Role

You will be responsible for managing your own residential portfolio, with strong systems, team support and leadership guidance behind you. This is a role for someone who is ready to take ownership and be trusted to deliver consistently high standards.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-end management of a residential property portfolio
• Building strong, long-term relationships with landlords and tenants
• Coordinating maintenance and repairs with trusted contractors
• Conducting routine inspections and managing lease renewals
• Handling day-to-day enquiries with professionalism and empathy
• Ensuring legislative compliance and best-practice processes
• Working collaboratively within a supportive, experienced team

About You

• Calm, capable and professional in your communication
• Confident managing responsibility and making informed decisions
• Organised, proactive and detail-oriented
• Naturally empathetic with strong problem-solving skills
• A team player who values culture and long-term career growth
• Comfortable working with systems, processes and structure

Previous experience in property management is welcomed but not required.
We are open to candidates from aligned industries such as customer service, administration, legal, or finance who are ready to step into a more autonomous, career-focused role.

About you:

• You don’t need to have any industry experience, but we’re looking for someone just as focused as we are on upholding our team values
• You must be willing and able to obtain a Tasmanian Real Estate Licence during the first 12 months of employment (or already have one)

Ideally, you will also have the following attributes:

• Relevant experience deemed equivalent to performing the requirements of the position
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and the ability to learn software programs are essential
• Ability to work independently and take direction as required
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members
• Demonstrate great time-management skills and a high level of attention to detail in a high-pressure environment
• Sound judgement, decision-making and problem-solving skills
• Current driver’s licence
• Ability to prioritise and work well under pressure in a deadline-driven environment

About the role:

Key responsibilities will include:

• Provide administrative support to the department
• Being able to effectively communicate with all team members to ensure streamlined processes and a positive work environment
• Assist with general office duties
• Inspection support when required
• Support to Property Portfolio Managers to ensure client satisfaction
• Keeping up to date on Property Management legislation
